Early Development & Tests at the MIT Media Lab

We began this project in 1999. Most of the initial work was done by Josh Lifton and our UROP student Warit Wichakool. Our system was of very limited accuracy and not very robust, but it worked well enough for simple internal demonstrations. We have posted a simple MPEG video showing the resulting demo in action. The large circles are centered on the position of the hit, and the radius is a (poor) estimate of the accuracy (since improved).
